Who was the first double hundred in ODI cricket?

This is a trick question if you wish to know the real answer, Belinda Clark was the first double ton maker in ODI, Sachin made the first in ODI for men.
Here is a description of all double ton from men and which one is the best.
I have written this before as well but i consider the first ODI double hundred by Sachin against South Africa to be the best one for multiple reasons.
  1. Since 70s when ODI started, no one scored a double hundred for almost 39 years, this was a mental barrier, Sachin broke that and was able to score 200* , once this was done, others knew that this could be done so essentially this double century helped others from mental aspect standpoint, batsmen started believing that its possible to score a double hundred in ODIs, since then we have 6 more double hundreds in ODIs and some credit must go to Sachin for starting this journey
  2. Sachin scored double ton against the attack of Steyn and Kallis which is not ordinary by any nature, he scored his runs against a good attack who made him sweat for each of his runs
  3. V Sehwag scored 219 against west indies and we know how good they are in ODIs atleast from bowling standpoint, it was a routine attack on a flat track.
  4. Guptil also scored his double hundred against WI and Gayle scored against Zimbabwe.
  5. Then comes Rohit Sharma who has so far scored 3 of these, which is a monumental achievement but here the question we are trying to address is which one is the best. Two of Rohit’s innings came against SriLanka in India against an ordinary attack. A double ton is a double ton irrespective of any attack but then again, we are talking about the best one.
  6. The only one of Rohit’s ton which can be compared with Sachin is the one against Australia when he scored 209 against Australia. Now i rate Sachin’s double ton better than this one mainly because Rohit scored this in bangalore on a track where even Australia scored 326 while chasing.
So for me it was the superman and his superhuman effort in Gwalior which is the best double hundred till date.

We all know the Australian team that played a decade ago. They are considered to be the best of the teams in the history of Cricket. Back in 2008, there was a tri-series held between India, Sri Lanka and this mighty Australian team in Australia, their home ground.
