Virat changed his team in every match for his first 39 Tests as Captain.

Kohli doesn't read the pitch well.

Picking Kuldeep Yadav on a Wet Pitch in England test, Kuldeep hasn't done any mystery.

Picking no Spinner in the Perth test while Nathan Lyon picked 8 wickets in the test. He doesn't use his resources efficiently

Defensive Approach towards Tailenders

If you look at the India tests Overseas, Our Bowlers are doing fabulous job picking early wickets but the Tailenders have become a great trouble for India

Instead of attacking approach,he makes the Tailenders to Settle and Score runs with defensive approach .

Look at the Tailenders score in last two tests in Australia , Tailenders gave a heart stroke by pulling the chase close to 31 runs. Setting a huge target in the fourth innings of Second test.

Using the DRS ineffectively

Poor usage of DRS, out of the 93 Reviews Kohli has won just 15 times ( analysis till England Series) in Test Cricket.
